On Friday, November 14th, Legor, one of AFEMO's valued member companies, opened its doors to a 5th-year class from ITIS De Pretto in Schio, as part of the PMI DAY – Industriamoci event organized by Confindustria.

This initiative aims to provide students with a direct insight into the business world, showcasing the professional opportunities it offers and the invaluable contributions of the people who drive the growth of companies. Through this hands-on experience, students were able to explore and better understand the professional landscape, while also considering their future career paths.

The theme of this year’s PMI DAY was "Choosing", a concept that guided the event's activities:

We are thrilled to highlight an exciting innovation from Sisma SpA, one of our esteemed AFEMO associates. Their latest breakthrough involves the processing of Tantalum, a unique and challenging material traditionally difficult to work with, until now.

Tantalum, known for its remarkable properties and weight similar to 18K Gold, has long posed significant challenges in manufacturing. However, thanks to Sisma's cutting-edge Laser Metal Fusion (LMF) technology, using the advanced MYSINT machine, Tantalum can now be precisely and efficiently processed into intricate components. This breakthrough opens up entirely new possibilities for the use of Tantalum across multiple industries.

With the MYSINT technology, Sisma is leading the way in transforming Tantalum from an extreme material into a versatile design element, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in terms of material innovation and manufacturing techniques.
